Research Group Artificial Intelligence – University of Applied Sciences Utrecht

The Research Group Artificial Intelligence of the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht explores applications of AI and data-driven innovation. AI technologies are developing rapidly and have a growing impact on many companies and government organizations. It is important for society to guide this development in the right direction, explore its boundaries, and define them where necessary. Human-centered values such as transparency, trust, creativity, and autonomy are central to our approach.

Education

Researchers from the Research Group are involved in various degree programs including Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, the Master’s programs in Data Driven Business and Data Driven Design, International Business Administration, and the international Master in Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence. Students work on innovative projects in collaboration with companies and public institutions.

Collaboration

The Research Group collaborates with financial partners on explainable AI in the financial sector, with media organizations on the responsible use of AI, with hospitals on the implementation of personalized healthcare, and with government agencies on embedding ethical and legal frameworks in new AI applications.
